[31-03-2025 01-04-2025] History, Memory, and Geographical Representation: Innovative Approaches and Digital Tools For Humanities Research

This two-day event explores the intersections between historical research, memory studies, and geographical representation through the lens of digital humanities. Organized by Laboratorio dei documenti storici nel Web (DSWLab) in collaboration with the PhD Program in Historical Studies – Seminars in History and Memory, the Humanistic Area Library (BRAU),  the MUSA Centre (Photographic and Cartographic Laboratory) and FedHLab the program includes a digital cartography workshop and a thematic seminar featuring international scholars. Participants will engage with innovative tools such as Carto and Recogito to visualize georeferenced data and reflect on the role of spatial analysis in cultural and historical research, from the Middle Ages to the contemporary era.
